“Fun with Action Words – Dough Play.”

Students of KGI enjoyed a fun hands-on activity using dough made of flour to learn different verbs (action words). Children performed actions such as stretch, poke, press, roll, squeeze, bend, etc., while exploring the dough.

This activity helped them understand action words through real actions, making learning engaging and enjoyable. The children actively participated and had a joyful learning experience.

Yesterday, the students enjoyed a story session conducted by one of our teachers, Mrs. Roshni Pahwa. The story was about a penguin who wanted to fly but could not. In the end, he recognised his strength—that he could swim very well. A polar bear, his friend, helped and motivated him in every effort.

The moral of the story was to never give up and understand your strengths. The students were engrossed in listening to the story. Such sessions help develop listening skills and encourage students to narrate the story in their own words.

The school conducted its very first activity of this session: a “Squeezing Activity,” which the students thoroughly enjoyed!

This sensory activity helps in developing both gross motor skills and hand-eye coordination. By engaging in squeezing exercises, children strengthen the muscles in their hands and fingers, which is essential for tasks such as holding a spoon, writing with a pencil, and other daily activities that require a firm grip.
Additionally, this activity enhances focus and concentration as children learn to control their movements and apply the right amount of pressure. It also provides a calming effect, reducing stress and promoting relaxation. Overall, the “Squeezing Activity” is a fun and effective way to support children’s physical and cognitive development.
